Buzz Electrics is a continually growing electrical company, that provides cost effective electrical solutions to the industrial and commercial industries, based in Hawkes Bay, but serving the whole of New Zealand
The Business was founded in 1994 by Buzz Barham on his return home with his family.
Throughout the years Buzz has based the business model on building long term relationships, training and mentoring , along with a strong focus on full compliance and providing competent electrical services.
In 2013, an exciting change brought Gerrie Wolmarans and Daniel White into the ownership of Buzz Electrics.
Gerrie’s expertise in industrial automation has bought brought a whole new element dimension of services provided by Buzz Electrics, with Dan providing a fresh impetus toward cementing existing client relationships and implementing new connections with national business partners.
In 2018, another energising change brought Aotea Group Holdings LTD, and Carl Williams into the ownership of Buzz Electrics.
The shareholding is now divided into these 5 parties. At the same time Buzz Electrics bought the brand ‘Napier Heat Pumps Ltd’, to add another service ability to our team.
Around 2022 , and the shift into the amalgamation of Buzz Electrics with 29 other Aotea linked N.Z companies into a national Unity . These 29 local companies now run autonomously, yet allied under the broader Aotea banner. This has brought about a significant upwards shift in Buzz Electrics capacity , resource, and operating ability.
Aotea are a national network of trade specialists that provide electrical, security, communications, air conditioning, fire alarms and a range of associated services nationally. Our work spans across New Zealand, with 28 Aotea businesses operating in 29 locations, employing over 1300 staff. Local people with local roots, part of a wider group with national capabilities and manpower to deliver a 24-hour, 7-day service. We offer a level of consistency and reliability that a small firm would struggle to provide.
